Our Central Team

Andrew has worked in education for over 25 years and has a passion for equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging.  He has served as a Headteacher and subsequently an Executive Headteacher in rural and urban communities and within church and community schools.  More recently Andrew has been a lead Council officer for education in both Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire where all our Mosaic schools are located.  Andrew takes a child and person-centred approach to the Trust and looks at ways in which the Trust can lead with both integrity and innovation. 

Geraldine began her career in education in 1996 and has served as a Headteacher and more lately an Executive Headteacher of an urban primary school with Nursery and Children Centre.  She has been an adviser for Early Years, an area of education she is passionate about, an inspector for Ofsted, a local authority adviser and latterly a lead Council officer for school improvement.  Geraldine has a passion for developing networks across the Trust and connecting people through strong partnerships. 

With extensive experience in financial management, statutory reporting, and strategic leadership within multi-academy trusts, Paul has been instrumental in ensuring financial compliance and driving operational excellence. He excels in financial analysis, new-school integration, and leading successful audits, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the Trust.

Paul holds the CIPFA Level 7 Diploma in School Financial and Operational Leadership and is a DfE Accredited School Resource Management Adviser (SRMA) as well as an SBP Mentor, reflecting his commitment to continuous professional growth and supporting sector-wide improvement. He also serves as Chair of the South West CFO and Business Leaders Network, fostering collaboration and best practice across the region.

In addition to his professional role, Paul is an experienced Governor, having served as both Chair and Vice-Chair of Governors for a local primary school, and is also a dedicated youth football coach, demonstrating his commitment to strengthening community ties and creating positive opportunities for young people.

Maisey Shepherd is the Trust Finance Manager and supports the Chief Finance Officer in the central team and works closely with School Business Managers at school level. She has a background in engineering and finance. She has been working in education since 2019, primarily in SEMH and AP settings. Outside of work, Maisey enjoys European travel, walking holidays and reading.

Libby started teaching in 2007 in South Gloucestershire. She became a SENCO in 2011 and has worked as Deputy Head and Head of Inclusion across a Federation of schools. Libby is passionate about supporting staff and schools to create a robust inclusive offer for all children in schools. She has led on the development of two alternative internal provisions as part of mainstream education and has worked and supported other schools to support them in the development of a similar model. Her current role is Strategic Inclusion Lead for Mosaic Trust. Libby is also Deputy Regional Lead for Whole School SEND in the South West and a Lead SENCO for a Cluster of 24 schools within South Gloucestershire. This involves working with a range of external services, local authorities, schools and SENCOs. She has done various outreach work and has been involved in SEND reviews of different schools.

Vanessa has worked in education for the last five years and is experienced in managing operations and estates across multiple sites. She has a background in sustainability bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and a passion for improving the performance of schools’ estates to support the delivery of outstanding education for our children.

Caroline has worked in education since 1995, across a number of schools, both faith-based and community. Whilst a class teacher, she has undertaken the role of both English and Maths subject lead and been a SENCo. Caroline has worked as a leading teacher for South Gloucestershire and as a visiting tutor for Bath Spa University students. As a headteacher, Caroline has strong record of school improvement and is committed to working collaboratively with colleagues to develop primary practice. She is passionate about the trust values of equality, belonging, inclusion and diversity and is keen to support staff across the trust to ensure that all members of our school communities have equality of opportunity. Outside of work Caroline is an avid Bristol City FC fan and a lover of musical theatre.
