The conversion process

Stage 1

  1. School completes and Expression of Interest usually after an initial meeting between the Chair of Governors and Headteacher of the school and the CEO of the Trust

  2. School and Trust contact the Regional Directorate to secure a Departmental view on the potential of the school joining the Mosaic Partnership Trust

  3. Trust responds to Expression of Interest

  4. Trust Executive Team meets with school leaders

  5. School formally records decision to join the Mosaic Partnership Trust

  6. Application to the Diocese if required

  7. Trust completes due diligence on school

  8. Trust Board consider application and approve

  9. Maintained school governing body approve

  10. School submits application supported by the Trust for South-West Advisory Board consideration and approval

  11. Advisory Board approval granted

  12. Conversion date agreed with the Local Authority and Regional Directorate

 

Stage 2

  1. Monthly meetings throughout the conversion phase between the school, Trust and Trust solicitors as appropriate

  2. School provides required information for conversion

  3. Staff TUPE process undertaken

  4. Leases and contracts followed

  5. Existing school contracts and SLAs reviewed and changed where appropriate

  6. Management Information Systems, Budgeting and Financial systems and IT prepared for transfer

  7. Policies, notices and other processes prepared for conversion

  8. Leaders and office staff to complete any training in advance of conversion

 

Stage 3

  1. CEO and central team visit newly converted school

  2. Emails and intranet set up

  3. Data systems set up

  4. Leaders and staff complete all induction training

  5. School joins Trust schedule of meetings and events
